November 15^th, 2012

Apologies, it’s been such a long time since my last post. I can’t believe how fast time passes when you’re in school full time. I feel like I’m never “off”. If I’m not in class, I’m doing homework. Even when I’m not doing homework, I’m stressing about grades. I even dream about school sometimes.

Well thank the good heavens I’ve booked a trip to Vegas at the end of this year. It’s such a cliché and overrated place to party, but I just can’t afford New York or Tokyo at the moment. Bummer. At least the shopping is great in Vegas.

Do you guys have any recommendations on wear to eat, shop or play? I’ve been before, but didn’t stay very long. I’ve been looking for package deals on their production shows, but they’re sparse at that time of the year.

I do love going to the States. Growing up reading Seventeen, they’d mention a lot of stores like Walgreens, Nordstrom, Target and JC Penney, that aren’t in Canada (yet). I get to check out what the fuss is all about, take advantage of cheap gas, and meet people who actually talk to you.

BTW!!! I’ve finally found a use for me Hermes scarf, which I thought for a while was just a useless piece of silk. But it looks interesting with blazers and trench coats.

Hey y’all, I’m writing this at 1 in the morning (again), so and rambling I do at this ungodly hour will probably not make sense. Therefore I’m just going to post a simple OOTD. 

 

Brr. I once lamented to a friend that I wished I lived in a warmer part of Canada. He reminded me that I was living in the mildest part of Canada. Haha. Time to migrate to Europe.

I know; I looked overly hipster today. Not my intention! It’s really starting to get cold up here in Canada, hence the darker colors and piles of cloth on me. Got to get my igloo warmed up and go skating on our pond. Haha!

Do I not look like those artsy kids going to Vancouver Film School? I just need my Macbook and I’m all set to protest at Occupy Wall Street. Although I heard they’re not quite fond of Starbucks…

Reveal...Times Two

Sigh. Ferragamo – allows me to wear bows well into adulthood and get away with it. Yes, of course it’s super girly, but that’s what I like about it. I need more shoes – and everything else! – that deviates from the norm. They’re so friggin’ adorable I took both the red and black pairs. I couldn’t decide between them, and the salesperson with his high-pitched voice wasn’t helping. Yes, they’ll be worn at most five times a year, but you know what? Those five times are going to be ah-maaazing. I might even upstage the bride. ;) 

On the other hand, tempted to keep the red pair unworn to be a centerpiece in my closet when I move out next year. They say shoes should be worn, but some I cannot bear to let hit cement.

September 17th

I’ve recently rekindled my love for American Eagle. Once brushed-off as too “mass-produced” and casual, I went back during their 40%-off-everything Labor Day Sale and got some denim, including this little jacket. If I learned something, it’s that I most likely will never buy expensive jeans again. I remember, years ago, falling for the skinny jeans trend and getting myself a pair of skinny J Brands. It’s amazing how much more comfortable and confident I feel in my stretchy, American Eagle bootcuts made for short people like me.

Wow it’s been like a week since my last post. I’m taking five classes this semester and doing a whole ton of other crap outside of school, so on some days it feels like the clock’s cheating me out of a few hours. I remember stepping outside my house before catching the bus, and the cold hits me like a ton of bricks. Yep, it’s the start of fall/school.

I’m thinking of doing an post on my education path so far. What are you guys up to this fall?

I have to run, it’s already 1 am (SIGH) and I have to get up early tomorrow. One ray of sunshine during this bleakness: my new sunglasses from Prada! Haha, finally found one I love hiding behind. Now I can check people out and no one can tell. ;)

Back to complaining about school I go.
