Wow, is time flying by fast! Wasn’t it just yesterday, when we were still talking about summer? I find it oddly fascinating how often style bloggers talk about the weather. I suppose it’s justified, considering how much what we were is influenced by the weather outside. I shall stop talking about the weather, however, because I think The Weather is a subject which people only talk about in awkward situations at cocktail parties for which there is no other topic to start the conversation.
Did anyone (in Canada) go to the Bay sale? If you haven’t, I think it’s still happening until the beginning of November, so go check it out. It’s a decent sale with a big selection, and up to 50% off. I picked up this dress for 40% off:
I really like the color-blocking print and the sleek cut. However, there are a few major drawbacks. It’s cut generously at the sides, because it’s not a form-fitting style, so it really isn’t the most slimming. I may get it tailored.
What else would I do differently? I would’ve liked to wear a nice pair of ankle booties with black tights, but unfortunately I haven’t found a comfortable pair yet. :(
By the way, what do you guys think about this pair of Manolos?
I’m dreaming about owning them as soon as I get my first Co-op job (fingers crossed). Does anyone have any experience with Manolos? I love how demure and chic this pair looks. It may be the shoe that jumps-starts my style into French chic territory. 8)
