When a friend posted a similar picture of Lake Louise,
Alberta on Facebook, I knew I had to be there. I will be travelling for the
first time without my family, and I was bouncing the ideas of Hawaii and Vegas
in my head. However, I’ve been there before and they’re too tourist-y. Not
saying Lake Louise isn’t, but at least it’s cheap, beautiful and not as cliché.
I’m already looking into other hidden gems and cultural
hotspots. Maybe South Africa or the Galapagos Islands. Definitely somewhere
outside of North America, and without the same people, culture and attitudes.
Where are YOU going this summer?

I love Lake Louise! Honestly, Banff in general is such a great place to be - surrounded by nature and disconnected from the fast paced lives we have. I try to make it out there at least once a year. Make sure to go to the hot springs! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! I sure will.
ReplyDeleteI went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic last year and its SO nice and relaxing there. It's touristy in the sense that you will be staying at a resort but you can do a cultural excursion for around $50. It'll take you into the town, bring you to a school, and visit an actual home of someone who lives there. Good luck!! :)
ReplyDeletewow..picturesque!
