I discovered
over the past few months that I do not handle boredom very well. I would much
rather be taking five classes a semester and working long hours than having
NOTHING to do since I’m near the end of my university degree and unemployed. Boredom
makes me lazy. It’s gotten so bad I’ve started taking up piano lessons again.
So…you’re not alone. I’ve had a rough month or so, and I’m taking steps to
improve my life.
Also, I have
way too much time to shop. I was looking around for a bikini a few days ago at
CHANGE and the SA asked me if I worked at the mall because she saw me around so
often. Signs you’re a shopaholic.
Summer’s in full swing, so
my post is a tad late, but I thought I’d compile my typical seasonal wish list
to keep my purchases “in check” and avoid impulse buys.
Boyfriend
jeans. I’ve recently acquired an unexpected desire to be a bit more “casual”.
Maybe look like one of those French girls who throw on some jeans and a striped
sweater and look fabulously chic.

Statement necklace. You
know the gold H&M collar necklace I’ve worn on, maybe, 5 different
posts? I need a new statement piece.
| Banana Republic |
Leather jacket. Vancouver
provides for a lot of in-between weather. Not warm enough for short sleeves,
but not too cold to require a winter jacket. All my blazers get quite a bit of
use, but I’m looking for alternatives, as it does get boring after a while.
Tweed, peacoats, thick cardigans that don’t make me look fat?

Any recommendations on an affordable, decent-quality leather jacket? I love some of the Mackage jackets at Aritzia, but will have to wait for their boxing-day sale...
xoxo Cat.
Aritzia's post card sale is in mid june =) so soon! 20% off mackage from what i last remembered
ReplyDeletePost-card sale? Do they send you a post-card?
DeleteI'm on the hunt for a pair of boyfriend jeans as well, who doesn't want to look Parisian chic? ;) Now to find one that's appropriate for petites...
ReplyDeleteAs for leather jackets, I know nothing about. I've been looking for one, but no dice so far. Danier always has great sales on, that's the one good thing!
P.S. I'm pretty sure I live at my local H&M, I always know when new stock comes in. Embarrassing? Naw.
I once showed a friend a dress I bought from H&M, and she knew the place so well she told me the other colours it came in!
DeleteHaha that's funny about you being asked if you work in the mall! There's a few shops I go into wayyy too often and I'm kinda worried they're going to start recognising me, eek ;)
